This Privacy Policy explains how VerifiedLocal (operated by DeployPoint.ai) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, apps, and services (the “Platform”).

Information we collect

You give us: name, phone number, email, service address/ZIP, a description of your issue, and any photos you upload.

Pro identity verification (Pros only): to verify a service professional, we collect their trade license details and, for the identity check, an image of a government ID and a short selfie/face capture (a “liveness” check). These are used solely to confirm the person matches their license. We do not retain the raw ID image or selfie — only the pass/fail verification result is stored.

Payment: card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Automatically: device, browser, IP address, and usage data via cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

To match you with a local Pro, facilitate communication and scheduling, verify Pros, process applicable fees and payments, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with law, and improve the Platform.

How we share it

With your matched Pro: the contact, location, and job details needed for them to reach you and perform the work.

With service providers: Stripe (payments), communications (SMS/email), identity-verification, hosting, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf.

For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Platform.

We do not sell your personal information.

Communications & your choices

With your consent we contact you by phone, SMS, and email about your request and the Platform. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS; use the unsubscribe link to opt out of marketing email. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and (where applicable under Canada's PIPEDA, California's CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws) opt out of any “sharing” for cross-context advertising, by emailing us.

Retention & security

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the Platform and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use commercially reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

The Platform is for adults; we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
